New plant species found at Gandhamardan hill : Identification required
Bargarh (Odisha) ,5th March 2017: Some new plant species found in Gandhamardan hill of Bargarh District while a team of scientist & research scholar visited the untouched Saptadhar region of Gandhamardan, about 700 Meters of MSL there is a region which is untouched till now. This is surrounded by semi evergreen forest .Normally it not possible on the part of a person to reach this area with out any support , device and guide. The team is leaded by Plant taxonomist Pareswar sahu of Agragami Bio diversity cell , Bargarh , Previously Tree furn of cythal group have been collected from this zone ,Where the PH value of water was 6. Till the presence of Tree furn is not reported from Odisha.
Prof Doctor P.N. Kampa of SSN Ayurbeda College & research institute showing this unidentified plant ,collected from Gandhamardan Hill (Saptadhar Reason ) at a location of approx. 700 Mts from mean sea level . This plant showing the monocot character also an orchid appearance is marked. The plant does not have a bulb or rhizome having a bunch of roots. With spike inflorescence .
