EVERYBODY HAS EQUAL RESPONSIBILITY TO NURTURE VIRTUOUS STUDENTS

Bhubaneswar 28th December 2017 (By Abdul Sattar Khan) Nurturing virtuous students is not only the responsibility of the school or teachers rather the parents and the society as a whole has a pivotal role to play, opined Hon’ble Justice Debabrata Dash, Judge of Odisha High Court joining as the Chief Guest in the concluding day of Parents’ Day Celebrations “Abhibyakti” at DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur this evening. Justice Dash appealed the students to be more inquisitive and societal to be citizens of global village. He has also urged the students community to be goal specific and target oriented. Chairman of the school Madan Mohan Panda presided over the function while Principal Dr. K. C. Satapathy presented the Annual Achievements of the students along with the welcome address. Justice Dash also released the maiden novel “Siya’s Nightout” penned by Jigyansa Sahani, a Class XI student of the school and praised affluently her creative pursuits as one of the youngest novelists of the nation. Among others, DAV Kalinganagar Chairman Sarat Chandra Misra, Chief Coordinator “Samaja” Suresh Chandra Mantry, Social Activist Sulata Deo, IG Police R. P. Koche, Basanta Manjari Satapathy and other Principals on the dais as guests. The meritorious students, teachers as well as employees of the school were honoured for their exceptional contributions. A series of cultural programmes like Odissi Dance, Koli Dance, Atulya Bharat, Kanya Daan, Saswat Bandhan, Amar Akshaya were presented by more than 1000 students as a part of Ek Bharat Srestha Bharat theme. Headmistress Sanjita Sahu proposed vote of thanks.
