Kandhamal/ Phulbani, 1oth December 2017 (By Minaketan Jena)-On the eve of World Human Rights Day,Campaign for Peace,Kandhamal has been organized meeting of students of different colleges and citizens of Phulbani on today(10th December, 2017) at the campus of Sri Balaji Junior College,Phulbani. The students and teachers of Sri Balaji Junior College, K. B. Hist. College,Sanjay Smruti Government Women’s College and Government Junior College, took part in the activities A meeting was presided by Md. Abdul Sukur, the president of the campaign and coordinated by Mr. Prasanna Bishoyi within the college campus . The various dignitaries like Mr. Ajay Pattnayak, Secretary of Balaji College, Human Rights Activist and Secretary of Campaign for Peace Mr. Narendra Mohanty, the leader of State Employees Federation Mr. Kishore Mishra, Mr. Abhaya Sundar of Govt. Autonomous College, Phulbani, Mr.Ramakanta Digal from K. B. Hist. College, Social Activist Prasanta Pradhan, Ms.Gitanjali Sahu and Mr. Bishnu Charan Sethi from Balaji Junior College, spoke on this occasion and call the students to come forward to protect the democracy, constitution , secularism and cultural diversities from the attack fundamentalist forces and raise voice against all sorts of injustice and violation of human rights as the soldiers to build a peaceful and democratic society. Among the students from different colleges like Miss Sujata Dalabehera, Debleen Priyadarshi and Jyotirmayee Mishra from Govt. Junior College, Miss Phulan Devi and Mr. Rakesh Digal from Sri Balaji Junior College, Miss Pinkirani Sahu and Susmita Panda from Sanjay Smruti Govt. Women’s College, Miss Ratani Majhi from K. B. Hist. College also spoke on the occasion and pledged to fight for the human rights during their college career and also within the community level. A chorus has been performed by the students and certificate as well as prizes was distributed to the winners of inter college debate and patriotic song competitions. The vote of Thanks was given by Mr. V. Subramanyam Das, the core body member of Campaign.
