International Disability Day Observed in KISS 4 Divyanga get appointment by KISS
Bhubaneswar,3rd December 2017 (By Prasant Kumar Bhuyan) International Day for Disabled persons was observed in KISS on Sunday. On this occasion addressing the divyanga students of KISS R. K. Sharma, Odisha Head, National Career Service Centre for Different Able under the Ministry of Labour and employment said, divyanga students are at par with the normal students in every sphere. But they should have got an opportunity to showcase their ability and talent. KISS and KIIT both the institution have provided opportunities to divyanga students to make their dreams to be fulfilled. On this occasion four Divyanga persons including Dilip Sahoo and his wife Anita barik, Suchitra Patra and Debashis have got appointment by KISS. A wheel chair also provided to Dilip. Dilip has lost one of his hand and leg in a train accident. He was undergone treatment in KIMS free of cost. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT & KISS committed to give appointment to Dilip and his wife in KISS. Dilip’s wife Anita is blind from her birth. Suchitra being a divyanga, she completed her post graduation in Library Science. Debashis has also completed his M.Tech in computer science from KIIT deemed University. Among others, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, eminent educationist Ashok Pandey, Poet Kishan Khandelwal, R. N. Dash, Secretary, KIIT & KISS; Prof. H. K. Satapathy, VC, KISS Deemed to be University, Julious Lakra, Registrar; Dr. P. K. Routray, CEO, KISS and Dr. Sasmitarani Samanta, Registrar, KIIT Deemed to be University were also present. The divyanga students of KISS were felicitated on this occasion. More than hundred divyanga students are pursuing their education at KIIT & KISS. They have provided special facilities.
