BJEM School Pioneers Sensitization Programme on “Flag Code of India”

Bhubaneswar, Dec: 1, 2017 :(By Minaketan Jena)- A sensitization programme on “Flag Code of India” was held at BJEM School on 1 December 2017. The programme was initiated by Khadi Board and Village Industries, Govt. of Odisha in order to sensitize school children about the characteristic features of the Indian National Flag and the rules and practices to be followed whilehoisting the same. In a special interactive session with the students of the school, Mr. Tejeswar Parida, Chairperson, Khadi Board, Govt. of Odisha and Renuprava Nayak, Dy. Secretary, Khadi Board, Odisha highlighted the special and technical features of the National Flag. “The National Flag is the symbol of our pride and sovereignty and it is our duty and responsibility to show the highest respect to it on all occasions,” the speakers said. The session was attended by the Principal, Ms. Sandhya Jena, Chairman, Mr. Raghunath Mishra, Manager, Mr. Pratap Kumar Jena and other distinguished members of the school managing committee. BJEM School has been the first school in the state to host such an educative sensitization programme on the “Flag Code of India”
