Children’s Summer Camp organised by East Cost Railway concluded
Bhubaneswar 31st May 2017 (By Debabrat Mohanty) :– After a week long of fun, scouting discipline and enjoyment of socialising with one another, Children’s Summer Camp organised by East Coast Railway at Rail Vihar concluded last evening.Gracing the occasion, Shri Umesh Singh, General Manager, East Coast Railway & Patron, East Coast Railway Bharat Scouts & Guides distributed prizes to the children for their outstanding performances in different field and encouraged them to utilise their learning from the camp in future of their life.Children in the Summer Camp learnt how to plant and take care of saplings, how to take care of the old age persons of their family including protection of environment and cleanliness. Apart from this, children have learnt drawing & paintings, swimming, self defence, yoga, dance & drama, music, making handicraft items, art of living, magic and Radio jockying etc. Children were also screened by ophthalmologist and dentist in the camp.Among others, Smt. Madhulika Singh, President, East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (ECoRWWO), Shri Rajiv Sharma, Additional General Manager, Smt. Manju Ray, Chief Personnel Officer/ECoR & State Chief Commissioner, East Coast Railway Bharat Scouts & Guides, Shri M. K. Poddar, Chief Workshop Manager & President, Central District Bharat Scouts & Guides and Shri Prabhat Kumar, Chief Personnel Officer (Admn.) & District Chief Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guides encouraged the children about the importance of Scouting activities in their day to day life and utilise their learning from the camp in future.
