Paratpar Guru Shri Shri Jayant Balaji Athavale completed 75 years on the auspicious day of Vaishakh Krushna paksha Saptami, the 18th of May, 2017. To commemorate this, an Amrutmahotsav was held on the 18th and 19th of May at Sanatan’s Ashram in Ramnathi, Goa. This one of a kind 75th anniversary celebration was graced with the divine presence of HH Shrikrushna Karveguruji (Pune), HH Das Maharaj and HH (Sou.) Laxmi Naik (Sindhudurg, Maharashtra), HH Dr Om Ulaganathan (Maharshi Jeevanaadipatti reader), Bhrugushastri Dr Vishal Sharma (Bhrugu samhita reader from Hoshiarpur, Punjab), Sanatan’s Saints Sadguru (Sou) Anjali Gadgil, Sadguru (Sou) Binda Singbal, HH Dr Mukul Gadgil, among other Saints. Shri. Balasaheb Badve (Former Trustee of the Shri Vitthal Temple and Priest, Pandharpur). Vedmurti Gurumurthi Shivacharya accompanied by his son Vedmurti Arun (Tamil Nadu), Vapeyaji Raghunath Guruji (Ashwamedhayaji HH Nana Kaleguruji’s son) also graced the occasion. As it unfolded… !* Welcome : Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalay’s seeker-students from the faculty of Musical Studies presented the song ‘Kadhi yeshil Manamohana | Pahanya Bharat apula mahaan ||’, a plea to Shri Krushna to reinstate Dharma in these troubled times, composed by Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj. * Pushparchan and aukshan : Sadguru (Sou) Anjali Gadgil and Sadguru (Sou) Binda Singbal offeredflowers at Shri Shri Jayant Balaji Athavale’s Feet and also did the aukshan (ritualistic waving of a lit lamp) amidst the chanting of Mantras.* Tulabhar : Shri Shri Jayant Balaji Athavale was weighed with Boondi (from the famed Tirupathi Balaji’s prasad). Also shami leaves, panchdhatu and nine precious gems were also added to the weighing as per shastras.* ‘Jeevangatha’ showcased : A short video documentary showcasing the life and times of Paratpar Guru Shri Shri Jayant Balaji Athavale was shown at the beginning. This documentary ‘Jeevangatha’, has been made available to all on Sanatan Sanstha’s official YouTube channel.* Nrutyaseva : Shri Shri Jayant Balaji Athavale was welcomed by a dance recital by Kum. Apala Aundhkar. Kum (Dr) Arti Tiwari also presented a dance recital based on the avatars of Shri Vishnu. * Messages by Saints : Messages from the Saint couple HH Aba Upadhye and HH (Sou) MangalaUpadhye were read out.* Felicitation of Saints : All Saints and dignitaries present felicitated Shri Shri Jayant Balaji Athavale.Also, Sanatan’s Saints HH Mukul Gadgil and Sadguru (Sou) Anjali Gadgil felicitated all the Saints who graced the occasion.* Reading of Bhrugu Samhita : This momentous occasion witnessed a Mahasudarshan yagya, Shanti yagya, and the reading of the faladesh from the Bhrugu Samhita by Bhrugushastri Dr Vishal Sharma.* Sanatan’s 300th Holy Text released : With two auspicious milestone events, ‘Amrutmahotsav’ and ‘300 Holy Texts being published by Sanatan’, coinciding, there could not be a better occasion to release the Holy Texts on ‘Paratpar Guru Dr Athavale Yanchya Sarvangina Karyacha Sankshipt Parichay’ (A short introduction to Paratpar Guru Dr Athavale’s work’ – Marathi) and ‘Teerthakshetre ani Teerthakshetra yanche mahatva’ (Pilgrim places and their importance – Marathi). * Reading of the Saptarshi Jeevanadipatti : With the blessings of the Maharshis, a reading of the Saptarshi jeevanadipatti was conducted by HH Dr Om Ulaganathan on the occasion of Shri Shri Jayant balaji Athavale’s Amrutmahotsav.* Conclusion : This unforgettable two-day Amrutmahotsav celebration concluded with the chanting of shlokas from the Shri Ramraksha strotra followed by chanting of ‘Shri Shri Jayant Balaji Athavale | Jay Gurudev ||’ thrice.The Amrutmahotsav celebrations were streamed live to seekers, well wishers and readers from 22 states of India and 18 countries.
