Bhubaneswar 21st May 2017 (By Debabrat Mohanty)-The Niladrivihar Youth & Cultural Association (NYCA) concludes its 24th Annual Cultural Show with pomp & show recently. Starting from the year 1994 the Association conducting this overnight show consecutively for the last 24 years along with other people oriented activities. This 2 days cultural extravaganza was inaugurated in a glittering function presided over by its President Dr. Prakash Chandra Panigrahi where the renowned cine & Jatra lyricist Shri Nigam Mishra, Social activitist Er. Abhay Kumar Samantray, Mr. Chandra Sekhar Pati, local corporator Mr. Debi prasad Mallick, joined as the Guest of Honours and in the valedictory day the President of the Odisha Police Officers’ Association Shri Satyajit Mishra, Sr. advocate Shri Manmohan pattnaik joined as the Guest of Honours and praised the continuous effort of the Association. Respecting the pujya Puja tradition and honour to the talents of the association the National and state honoured veteran freedom fighter of Jagatsinghpur district Shri Jogendra Moharana, the National Gold Medal winner in the Air Rifle shooting from the state as well as of the locality Master Pratip Das with Pitamber Mohanty Smruti Samman were honoured during the occasion. For the commendable service to the Activities of the Association the Cultural Secretary Shri Bata Krushna Panda, Member Kailash Chandra Sahoo and the proprietor of Narayani Chitralaya Master Jyoti was also honoured during the occasion. The General Secretary of the Association Shri Biswajit Pattnaik (Silu) was apprised the gathering regarding the proposed activities of the association for the forthcoming silver Jubilee celebrations. The veteran member of the association shri Kumar Barik gave the welcome address, vice president shri Narayan Pratap Ray read out the annual report of the association and treasurer Shri Prakash Chandra Sahoo (Gagan) offered the vote of thanks. At the last like previous years in the 1st night social play ‘Jhada Bhitare Mo Sansara Thia” by sasmita Jena and in the 2nd night the first Pandulipi (Script) play of the Association ‘Chand Ku Chhuiniba Mana’ by Rajendra Roul was released and were displayed involving the local talents. More than 6000 audience witnessed the show overnight night with enthusiastic participation.
