Bhubaneswar: 20th March 2017 (By Debabrat Mohanty) – A stationary car caught fire in front of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) branch in Odisha capital today. As soon as he driver saw smoke emanating from the bonnet, he deserted the car after turning the ignition off. According to reports, the four-wheeler was parked at the parking yard near RBI at Unit – III here. According to reports, the front portion of the car, bearing registration number OD02 6769, was in flames soon damaging some portion of the car. However, as the driver had left the vehicle, locals gathered to douse the flames before police and fire brigade personnel reached the spot. Though the exact reason of the fire is not yet known, All of a sudden smoke blew from the car with fire. Though cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, short circuit is suspected to be the reason behind it. Fire personnels rushed to the spot being informed about the incident and doused the fire. No casualty has been reported.
