Suppression of special Audit report of Orissa State Cooperative Bank conducted in 2012 By AGCS ( Auditor General Coop Societies)
Bhubaneswar ,23rd March 2017 (By Prasant Ku Bhuyan) AGCS ( Auditor General Coop Societies) has been suppressing the Special Audit report of OSCB conducted in 2012 pertaining serious financial irregularities related to Bijayananda Sugar Mills. The Sugar Mills a Self Help Cooperative is the No 1 defaulter with Rs 48.00 Cr loans . AGCSC had taken up audit of the accounts on the loans given to the Sugar Mills .RCS has issued several reminders and DO letters to AGCS to release audit report . But the incumbent AGCS Sri P.K.Jena is suppressing the irregularities by not releasing the report with an intention to hide the facts and to protect Sri Tusar Kanti Panda MD, OSCB. The attached numerous letters from the RCS shows how vehemently Sri Jena is trying to suppress the report. Since the report carries information about serious irregularities, some senior officers of the Government have arranged for promotion Sri Jena to IAS ranks as a reward for suppressing the special audit report of OSCB How could the Government promote people who are suppressing audit reports? Besides there were many vigilance cases against Mr Jena when his name was recommended for promotion. If people who are making all efforts to suppress important reports are given more serious responsibilities in future they are vulnerable to bring disgrace to Indian Civil Service. They have also filed a complain with the Chief Minister to inquire in the matter.
