Budget session Waive Farmers Loan, Hike old age / widow pension demands : S.P. Submits Memo to FM
Bhubaneswar, 21.2-2017 (Prasanta Kumar Bhuyan) -Demanding waiving of loan of the small & marginal farmers and share croppers in drought affected areas, bonus of Rs.300 in a qntl. Of paddy and milk litre MSP Rs.30/-, loan to fish farmers, poul-try farmers & milk farmers at 1% interest per annum like the Women SHGs and other farmers, to hike widow pension, oldage and handicap pension to Rs. 1000 per month and 90% job reservation for the unem-ployed youth of Odisha in various industries coming under Make in Odisha programme, a 7 member delegation of Samajwadi Party Odisha State Committee led by its State Unit President MR. Rabi Behera met Finance Minister Pradip Amata at his residence and submitted a memorandum on the eve of Budget session-2017-18 of Odisha Assembly. Besides that the Party also demanded safe drinking water for everybody, inclu-sion of milk and paneer in Mid-Day Meal and ICDS scheme. They also demanded strong action against corruption in Agricultural schemes. The delegates have also demanded to hike the limit of OBC income from 6 lakhs to 15 lakhs to avail OBC reservation as the state Govt. is going to implement the 7th Pay Commission and implementation of OBC reser-vation of 27% in admission and employment. Among others who also met the minister were Mr. Sudarshan Pradhan, Bijoy Behera, Youth leader Sambit Das, Pradip Mishra, Pradosh Jena & Women Leader Nirupama Das. The Finance Minister has assured them to take up the matter in the cabinet tomorrow for necessary steps in the coming Budget.
