Bargarh ,3rd February 2017:  Basing on the report of the Complt. Sri Jayadev Nayak, S/o Murali Nayak, Vill. Latakera, P.S-Barpali, Dist.Bargarh, the above noted case has been registered against Sri Kunja Bihari Nayak, Asst. Manager and Sri Khirod Behera, Lineman, both of Electrical Section-II, Wesco, Barpali, Dist.Bargarh for demanding illegal gratification of Rs.18,000/- from him to supply electric connection to his Poultry Farm situated at Latakera.

                        The gist of the case is that the Complt. Sri Nayak is having a Poultry Firm at Vill. Latakera.  He had applied to the Asst. Manager, Electrical Section-II, Barpali to supply Electric connection to his Poultry Farm.  The accused Sri Kunja Bihari Nayak, Asst. Manager and Sri Khirod Behera, Lineman demanded Rs.15,000/- and Rs.3,000/- from the complt. respectively for the above purpose.  Finding no other alternative, Sri Nayak reported the matter to S.P, Vigilance, Sambalpur.

                        Accordingly, a trap was laid on 03.02.2017 at about 11.45A.Ṃ.  The accused Sri Kunja Bihbari Nayak demanded and accepted the bribe money of Rs.15,000/- in front of his residential quarter situated in I.B colony, Barpali and kept the same in his pant pocket.  Thereafter, apprehending some trouble, he left the spot in his motor cycle and proceeded towards Bargarh.  The Vigilance team chased the accused Sri Nayak and intercepted him inside an abandoned cold store situated at Village Lenda.  Seeing the Vigilance officials, the accused threw the tainted money, which was subsequently seized.  The hand wash of the accused gave positive chemical reaction confirming acceptance of bribe.  The accused has been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court. His residential house situated at Barpali and Rourkela are being searched

Head Clerk arrested by Vigilance on graft charge.

   Basing on the report of the Complt. Sri Aditya Narayan Mohapatra, Guest Faculty, Govt. Polytechnic College, Bhawanipatna, the above noted case has been registered against Sri Prasanta Kumar Mishra, Head Clerk, Govt. Polytechnic College, Bhawanipatna for demanding illegal gratification of Rs.1,000/- from him to send the bill to the Treasury for drawl of his arrear remuneration.  The gist of the case is that the Complt. Sri Mohapatra had taken some classes in Govt. Polytechnic College, Bhawanipatna and was supposed to get Rs.22,000/- as his dues.  He requested the accused Sri Prasanta Kumar Mishra to prepare the arrear bill and send it to Treasury for drawl. But, Sri Mishra demanded Rs.1,000/- from him for the above purpose.  Finding no other alternative,   Sri Mohapatra reported the matter to S.P, Vigilance, Koraput.

                        Accordingly, a trap was laid on 03.02.2017 at about 10.45A.Ṃ.  The accused Sri Mishra was caught red handed at his residence, while demanding and accepting bribe money of Rs.1,000/- from the Complt. The bribe money has been recovered from his possession.  His hand wash gave positive chemical reaction confirming acceptance of bribe.  The accused has been arrested and will be forwarded to the Court. His residential house situated at Bhawanipatna and Qr. No.C/2, Kitchen Block, Bose Colony, Mangalabag, Cuttack are being searched.
