ECoR GM REVIEWED DEVELOPMENTAL WORKS IN PALASA-KHURDA ROAD RAILWAY SECTION
Bhubaneswar 14.01.2016:Shri Umesh Singh, General Manager, East Coast Railways, on Friday conducted the annual inspection between Palasa & Khurda Road of Khurda Road Division along with his team comprising of senior officers from the Headquarters and Khurda Road Division. He was accompanied by Debaraj Panda, Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road and other officers of Khurda Road Division.Inspection of various stations, colonies, bridges, level crossing gates and ongoing works have been conducted. During the General Manager’s annual inspection, the complete Railway Infrastructure in this section is inspected thoroughly and improvements required for the betterment of the quality of service being provided to the Public is assessed. Inspection was carried out at different stations including Palasa, Sompeta, Brahmapur, Rambha, Chilka, Kalupadaghat, Balugaon wherein a number of developmental works have been reviewed. Track, different Bridges, Curves, LC Gates have been thoroughly inspected to give priority on Safety of Trains & passengers and also smooth running of trains including traffic facilities. Railway Colonies have also been inspected and welfare measures have been reviewed. Shri Singh also reviewed the Cleanliness of Railway premises including Platforms, Catering, Waiting Hall, Dormitories/Retiring Rooms, VIP Lounges etc., and advised officials to take necessary action to provide amenities as per requirements. Shri Singh also met public at different stations and received grievances and suggestions for better developmental activities and facilities/amenities and assured them to provide required amenities as per the feasibility and requirement.
