International Conference on Libraries in KIIT
Bhubaneswar: 30.11.2016 International Conference on Libraries concluded in KIIT. The theme of the conference was ‘Marching Beyond the Libraries: The Role of Social Media and Networking’. More than 250 delegates from India and abroad participated the conference where, 74 published papers and 68 papers presented.

Chief Guest Dr. Sasmitarani Samanta, Registrar, KIIT University spoke on the inaugural ceremony. She said, library has an important role in dissemination of knowledge. In the age of information technology, social media play a vital role. People want quick and exact information. So the libraries should be digitized to cope up with social media. Prof. A. K. Rath, Chairman, CLC welcomed the guests while, Dr Bijayalaxmi Rautaray proposed the vote of thanks.
