Detection of vigilance trap case.
Bhubaneswar .23.10.2016 : Basing on the report of the Complt. Sri Gopabandhu Behera, S/o Sri Subash Chandra Behera of village Narendrapur, P.S.Ranapur, Dist.Nayagarh, the above noted case has been registered against Sri Braja Bihari Mishra, ASI of Police, Rajasunakhala Out Post, under Ranapur Police Station for demanding illegal gratification of Rs.2,000/- ensuing amicable settlement with the opposite party member.The gist of the case is that Tulu Behera, brother of the Complt. is having a Pan shop at village Narendrapur. One Jyoti Ranjan Swain of the said village was his regular customer, who was consuming Pan and other articles on credit basis. When Tulu Behera denied giving Pan etc. on credit basis to Sri Swain, there was some dispute in between them. Sri Swain reported the matter at Rajsunakhala Out Post. Sri Braja Bihari Mishra, ASI Rajasunakhala Out Post called both the parties and insisted them for compromise. However after negotiation, both the parties agreed for compromise. Thereafter, Sri Mishra demanded Rs.2000/- from Sri Tulu Behera and his brother Gopabandhu Behera for the above purpose. Accordingly, a trap was laid at 05 P.M. on 22.10.2016. The accused Sri Mishra was caught red handed while demanding & accepting bribe money of Rs.2000/-from the Complt. in the Out Post. Both the hands wash as well as right side pocket wash of his trouser of were taken in sodium carbonate solution, which gave positive chemical reaction confirming acceptance of bribe money.
