Bhubaneswar, Dt.14.9.2016 (By Biswaranjan Mishra)-Over the past human society has witnessed tremendous progress and growth of material affluence on the one hand and a serious erosion of moral and spiritual values on the other. Humanity today is facing a multidimensional civilization crisis which has engulfed almost all perspectives of human lives, material and spiritual. All nations, whether rich or poor are beset with numerous hazards and are in search of new paradigm, said Governor Dr. S.C. Jamir.
Speaking in a socio-cultural programme of Satsang, Governor Dr. Jamir said that Sri Sri Thakur, as an ideological figurehead, had mobilized a grand socio-spiritual movement which can be considered to be an excellent demonstration of universal brotherhood. The striking feature of his ideology was that it attempted to bring out and highlight the similarity amongst all religions in essence and philosophy. His attempt was to bring out the essence of all religions and to show to the world that it is the same eternal principle of life and growth.
Highlighting rich tradition of India, Governor opined that there is hardly a country in the world that has a rich and as diverse cultural heritage as in India. India stands for the sum total of all that is assimilated over thousands of years – the faiths, the beliefs, the cultures, the moral and ethical values.
Reminding the contribution of Sri Sri Thakur Ankul Chandra, Governor said that he founded Satsang Ashram at Deoghar to preach his teachings and his Satsang aims at achieving perfection in each individual life by establishing meaningful coordination of the ideal self and environment.
Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena, Dr. N.P.Tripathy, S. K.Mohanty, Dr. S.K. Rai among others spoke on the philosophy of Satsang on the occasion. Lady Governor was also present in the function
