photograph-1-press-release-adani-dhamra-port-launches-nutritional-programme-suposhanBhadrak, 13 th Sept, 2016:  (By SK Musir Mubin)- Adani Foundation has launched a nutritional programme ‘Suposhan’ to bring improvement in malnutrition and nutritional status of children living in the peripheral area of Adani Dhamra port. For successful execution of this unique Suposhan programme, a special training session was conducted at the community centre of Adani Dhamra Port in Sep,2016. 17 numbers of adolescent girls and women of around 33 villages of 10 panchayats participated in this special training programme. All the nominated girls and women named as ‘Sangini’ will work towards curbing malnutrition and Anaemia seen among children, Adolescent girls and women.Adani Dhamra Port CEO Mr. Subrat Tripathy, Director, Strategy andSustainability, Adani Foundation Mrs Sushama Oza, CSR Head Mr. Prabhat Kumar Mishra, Deputy Manager, CC&CSR Mr. Subhasish Mishra, doctors and employees of CSR department were present in this training programme.It may be noted here that, this nationwide project ‘Suposhan’ launched by Adani foundation for curbing malnutrition and Anaemia implemented in this FY 2016-17 will be in action for next three years. The project will be implemented at 10 locations of the entire country covering 75000 families of around 294 villages. Out of this in Dhamra port area, 74 villages of 25 panchayats of Bhadrak district will be covered under this programme. The main objective of this programme is to reduce the occurrence of malnutrition among children by 95% in three years.
