RUCIAL VISIT OF MEMBER TRAFFIC, RAILWAY BOARD TO VISIT EAST COAST RAILWAY
Bhubaneswar, 10.08.2016 (By Biswaranjan Mishra)-Member, Traffic, Railway Board, Shri Mohammed Jamshed, would be visiting East Coast Railway on Thursday, 11th August, 2016. This visit of the highest-ranking Railway Traffic Officer to East Coast Railway assumes significance in the context of the importance of the East Coast Region for Railways.During the visit, Shri Jamshed is expected to review the performance of the Railway and the progress of various infrastructure related projects which are crucial to the industrial development of Odisha & Northern Andhra Pradesh. Seamless movement of materials from and to Ports, Collieries, Steel Plants and Power Plants is expected to be on the top of the agenda of his visit.Shri Jamshed had earlier held a meeting of important freight customers of this region in April this year, and based on the feedback he received from East Coast region, a number of positive policy measures were immediately initiated by Railway Board. He is also expected to visit the Talcher area of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited which is the largest loading belt of Indian Railways.
