GMR CEO Paul Anderson meets Health Secy Arati Ahuja
Bhubaneswar: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of globally recognized emergency serviceprovider, Global Medical Response (GMR) Mr. Paul Anderson met Health and Family welfare secretary, Government of Odisha, Mrs. Arati Ahuja at Secretariat here on Wednesday. He discussed about various issues pertaining to emergency services & stressed for a collaborative effort to improve ambulance service in the state.Commenting about his visit Mr Anderson said, “I am here to review operation of the company with management team and govt. officials. As we are in board of directors and in audit committee of ZHL, we give ad hoc advice as requested by them.”He further said, “To improve the service quality, we have to continue road improvement, increased area coverage, increased fewer access sites, increase oxygen tanks replacement sites.Reduction prank and unnecessary calls to 108 control rooms.” He applauds govt for its efforts for better healthcare. He said, “Govt. regulators have been proactive and collaborative in ongoing development of the system. Thereby creating a true PPP for better emergency services.”While he emphasizes for the need of improved road infrastructure. He said, we are continuing to enhance the communication between 102 and 108 control rooms to ensure callers get the appropriate services. GMR keens to participate in emergency services, implementing new technology and telemedicine.
