GRAMA ROJAGAR SEVAK & ONE PRIVATE PERSON IN VIGILANCE NET ON GRAFT CHARGE.

Cuttack 20.07.2016 (By Tapas Mishra)-Today i.e. on  20.07.2016  Sri Nityananda Majhi, Grama Rojagar Sevak, Bhorsuja Gram Panchayat, under Agalpur Block, Dist.Bolangir & Sri Narayan Chhatar of Village, Bindhapali (Private Person have been caught by Vigilance Officers of  Sambalpur Division for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.50,000/- from the complainant  Sri Santosh Bag, Gandapali, P.S-Loisingha, Dist.Bolangir.  In this connection Sambalpur Vigilance P.S case   No. 71 dt.19.07.2016 u/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d)/7 P.C.Act has been registered.  The complainant Sri Santosh Bagh alleged that he is the Labour Leader of the excavation work of newly constructed Talabandha at Village Gandapali.  The estimated cost of earth work is Rs.6.5 lakhs.  Sri Nityananda Majhi, GRS was supervising the work, Though the work is completed, the muster roll of the labourers was under preparation by the accused GRS Nityananda Majhi. After preparation of muster roll the bill will be prepared for which he  demanded Rs.50,000/-.  Thereafter complainant Sri Santosh Bagh reported to Vigilance. As per direction of S.P, Vigilance, Sambalpur Division, a  trap was laid on 20.07.2016.  As per direction of Sri Nityananda Majhi, GRS, Sri Narayan Chhatar of Village Bindhapali, Private Person received bribe amount of Rs.50,000/- from the complainant Sri Bagh in presence of Sri Majhi himself.  Sri Nityananda Majhi, GRS and Sri Narayan Chhatara, Private Person were caught by Vigilance Officers after accepting bribe.  Bribe money Rs.50,000/- has been recovered and has been seized in presence of witnesses.  The investigation of the case is in progress.
