GENERAL SECRETARY, ODISHA ASSOCIATION FOR BLIND ARRESTED IN VIGILANCE CASE:

Cuttack.22.06.2016 (By Tapas Mahapatra)-On 22.06.2016, in Bhubaneswar Vigilance P.S case No. 49 dt.31.10.2015, u/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(c)(d) P.C. Act, 1988 / 420 / 467 / 468 / 477-A / 409 / 120-B IPC,  accused Sri Bihari Nayak, General Secretary, Odisha Association for Blind, Bhubaneswar has been arrested by Vigilance Officers of Bhubaneswar Division.   Accused Sri Bihari  Nayak had moved the Hon’ble High Court, Odisha, Cuttack vide ABLAPL No.3155/2016 for grant of bail.  The Honb’le High Court rejected the bail application of accused  Sri Bihari Nayak on 27.04.2016.  The case was registered against Sri Bihari Nayak, and 2 others on the allegation of misappropriation to the tune of Rs.56,30,629/- from “Inclusive Education of Disable at Secondary Stage” (IEDSS) fund allotted by the Department of School  Education and Literacy, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi through School & Mass Education Department and Women and Child Development Department of Govt. of Odisha during the period from 2009-10 to 2013-14 by falsification of the records of account.
