5th All India Hindu Convention for the establishment the ‘Hindu Nation’ begins in Goa on 19 June .

The 5th ‘All India Hindu Convention’, aimed at building nation-wide unity of theHindu organisations for the establishment of ‘Hindu Rashtra’ is starting on the19 th June at Ramnathi, Ponda in Goa. The one-week Convention, which will endon the 25th June, will be attended by more than 400 delegates from more than161 organisations from 22 states of India besides Nepal, Bangladesh and SriLanka. The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, under whose auspicies the Convention isheld, have also urged the RSS, Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad, and the ideological affiliates of ruling BJP to participate in the conference.The annual Hindu Convention has over the years progressed into one of thebiggest and pivotal gathering of intellectuals, seers, dharma gurus, academicians,activists and Hindutva proponents who gather for intense brainstorming sessions and chalk out a roadmap for the future and contemplate ways for theestablishment of a Hindu Rashtra. Delegates and heads of various Hinduorganisations will set the agenda for the next one year.There will be deliberations on the long pending demands of the Hindus of India.The rehabilitation of the Kashmiri Hindus, withdrawal of Article 370, enforcing aUniform Civil Code, ban on cow slaughter, building the Ram Temple at Ayodhya,atrocities against Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh, Illegal infiltration from Bangladesh etc. will figure prominently at the meet. A fourteen men delegation from Odisha will be attending the Convention. It willcomprise of activists like Murali Manohar Sharma, Anil Dhir, Ravi Agarwal,Nityananda Patnaik and Rajendra Sahu. They will highlight the growing menace ofBangladeshi infiltration, rising Islamic terror, cow smuggling, neglect of HinduTemples, missionary activities etc. Anil Dhir will be presenting a deliberation onthe “Failure of Intelligence Agencies in India”.In June 2013 the then Chief Minister of Gujarat and present day Prime MinisterNarendra Modi was invited, but had instead sent his more religious than politicalmessage which read: “Even though every Hindu conducts himself with love,compassion and intimacy with god, giving precedence to non-violence, truth and ‘satvikta’, repelling demoniacal tendencies is in our destiny. It is our tradition toremain alert and raise a voice against persecution. Only by protecting our culture,can the flag of ‘dharma’ and unity be kept intact. Organisations inspired by nationalism, patriotism and devotion for the Nation are true manifestations ofpeople’s power.” Modi had said.
